Just picked up my little kitten :o)

My niece had a white, long haired cat, who gave birth to 5 adorable little kittens August 22 2007. She sent me a picture of them and I told her I wanted one of them. Preferably a female kitten. She then picked one out for me, and she kept sending me cellphone picture of her as she grew and opened her eyes. I couldn't wait to pick her up, but I had to wait at least 6 weeks. But then on October 15 I went to get my baby. She was the most adorable little creature you can ever imagine, and it was love at first sight.
Unfortunately shortly after I had picked up my kitten, her Mom got run over and killed. :o(
From the very first second she was my shadow.
When I went on a 10 days trip to Florida last December, she was offended when I got home. She let me cuddle her right away, and then she kept her distance for about an hour or so. But then she came and wanted to cuddle again. She didn't want to let me leave her at all. She followed me everywhere I went in the house. And when I lay on the bed or whatever, she was there to make sure I didn't disappear again.
As time has past she has continued to be that way. I mean, she wants me to be home with her, and when I'm off and can't take her with me, she has to make sure I'm really home again. I've also picked up this habit of calling home (my parents take care of her when I'm away), and my parents put the phone on loudspeaker so that I can talk to her.
She has been walking on a leash since she was 3 months old, and even comes along on a few of my walks. Then she's almost like a dog, sniffing around and running back and forth.
I do take her with me to visit my parents every now and then, and she likes it there. Especially now that they have the kitten I gave them. That kitten has a very special story.
Anyways; they are the best of friends and whenever I go there and have Danie with me, they are greeting each other fondly. My Dad said that if they had had arms, they would have held and hugged each other... lol
She is the best cat ever, and since she can grow to be as old as 28 years, I really hope I get to have her for that long. 27 more years to go with that Sweetheart. :o))
