well in this life of accessories I have the privledge of trimming down a bit for my trip.  But tell me why is it that people work so hard to buy things and the more things they acquire the less freedom they can experience?  Isn't it the best when all you have is a pair of jeans and a t-shirt and an open road?

My list of crap to take to South America:

sleeping bag

5 t shirts

3 tank tops

2 jeans

1 fleece pants

wool socks

1 pair nice shoes

1 pair sneakers/hiking shoes

1 digital camara

1 bandana

1 shorts

1 swimsuit

1 towel

1 rain jacket

1 fleece hat

1 hooded sweatshirt

2 dress shirts

1 pair sunglasses

1 quad band cell phone

1 buck knife

1 compact fishing pole

1 pair sandals

1 mini flashlight

1 lighter

couple zip lock bags

1 belt

spanish/english dictionary

lonlely planet-Argentina, South America

MAN THIS IS WAY TOO MUCH CRAP!  I will try to trim down over the next three days before my flight please wish me luck in detangling myself from this consumerist web of crap I've gotten tied up in!
