On the road from Darwin to Alice

Great camping last night at Juno Horse farm out of Tennant Creek. Then another day of interesting outback towns and sights led us to the Devils Marbles north of Alice.
The old Ozzie pubs are real icons...but even out here they are well equipped for the tourist........Larrimar Pub has a wonderful expresso machine, and Barrow Creek has just installed ice cold slurpie machines.....Just doesn't seem quite right somehow?!?!
Loved exploring the Devils Marbles...one fantastic sight after another. A huge pile of rocks in the middle of nowhere...pretty mind blowing actually. Fantastic colours too.
Arrived in Alice and stayed at "the Haven" backpackers. O.k. But the best part was going out for dinner to a touristy bar called "Bojangles" where Raquel and I shared the Mixed Ozzie Grill of Crocodile rissoles, Emu, Buffalo steak, Kangaroo fillet and Camel Kebab, found the only "roadkill" I really liked was the kangaroo and Emu. Must say the Camel tasted like it had been surviving out in the harsh desert for about 40 years!!!!! Tough as old boots. A few drinks and back to hostel for an early start out to Uluru.
