Enjoying Toulouse
September 10, 2008
the next day i visited my cousin who lives in Toulouse and who i didn't see after i was twelve years old! Funny thing was that his accent was that much french that i allmost couldn't understand his dutch! But he is also a photographer as i am so... we had a good talk and he advised me to visit Perpignan to see the photo exibition of international photographers which i would do later!
Toulouse has beautiful churches (cathedral and basilique) and nice squares to drink coffee and eat a croissant. And... certainly some secret Cathar symbols....
Also relics of apostles can be seen... in middle ages there was a lot of trade in these (sometimes we have 15 arms of somebody, 5 skulls etc... haha) because a lot of pelgrims would visit the town for that and bring money.. (see also the book boudolino of umberto eco for nice examples..).
