Wanaka!
October 24, 2008
So on the Friday I left with brother and sister + Uncle and Aunt for Wanaka, for a weekend in a lovely holiday home.
It took us about 3.5 hours to get there from Dunedin.
We travelled through a town called Alexandra, where you can always see what time it is (even without having a phone or watch).....there's a clock built up on the hill!
In Alexandra there also was a beautiful swingy bridge over the Clutha river. Looks amazing!!
From there we went through Cromwell (where they have fantastic real-fruit ice-creams!!) to Wanaka and its beautiful scenery.
It was almost 7 o'clock when we got there, the sun was found above a few mountains, so for the pictures in that direction we had to come back another time a day. No problem!
From there it was just a 5 minute drive to the house in Albert Town, where we stayed for the long weekend.
