Kia Ora! On this Travel Blog I will describe my journey to and in New Zealand from October 9th till November 8th. Here I will upload photos and travel updates, and you will be able to follow my journey on the map. Have fun, I certainly will! Robert

Snow on the Mountains!

After having been in Taupo we wanted to have a look up the mountains, There's Mount Ngauruhoe, Tongariro and the biggest one Ruapehu.
We went up to Whakapapa Village to find out that there were still a lot of people skiing and snowboarding there. We were only up there to make a few pictures.

After that we drove down to Palmerston North to spend 2 days there at my Uncles place. We enjoyed spending time with them after 6 years.
On the second day we went to have a dip at Himatangi Beach. You're actually allowed to drive onto the beach and park your car there! Excellent for 4x4 adventure!!

And after two lovely days staying with the family we were ready to go to the South Island. It was a 1.5 hour drive from Palmerston North to Wellington, where we left the car
to pick another one up at the ferry terminal in Picton.

So the next blog will be for the South Island, driving down the East Coast!
