In Sturt NP with our friends Nat and Maggies
This morning after breakfast we said goodbye to Glen and Gay as they headed south to White Cliffs. It wouldn't be a long farewell as we would be catching up with them again in a few days back in Melbourne
. Today Nat and Maggie wanted to show us around Sturt National Park, it would be quite a treat being shown a National Park by the actual Park Rangers! So we headed out to the Park and we did a couple of walks to various lookouts and then they took us around various parts of the park in the ranger truck pointing out some places of interest, different projects and improvements they had made to the Park since moving here a couple of years back. We headed back to the house for lunch before they took us into town and showed us the Park Office where they work. The office was also the visitors centre and they had some interesting displays and a few interesting keepsakes in their fridge like pickled snakes and spiders!! It was great spending time with our friends and seeing where they live and work. We spent the evening relaxing over a lovely meal and few bottles of wine!
