This is definately a work in progress. Realising that I've been in Bahrain for over a year now, working. Thought that it was about time to create some sort of blog on experiences here. Opinions expressed here are not as a traveller, but as someone who while has been working here has seen this place in a different light that tourists would.

Diyar Al Muharraq

First of all, if you try to find this place on the map you won't find it. As we are still building it. This is one of the largest Reclamation projects that the company has ever done. The picture only represents 1 half of the project, the other half is still being designed and approved. So double the area and you will then see how big this project is. To put it down in numbers, the length would measure 6 km and 4 km wide.

I first started working for the company on the 4 August 2007. Since then have been involved on other smaller projects, but this one still remains the largest. And when I finish any of the other small projects I always find myself being based back here.
