Ever thought about taking a month off, and driving coast to coast? In the summer of 2006 we got to do just that! We traveled from Connecticut to the Pacific and back, visiting as many National Parks and Attractions as we could, tent camping along the way. Here is our story!

Estes Park is a small, touristy town just outside of Rocky Mountain National Park.  A logical place to stop for food, souvenirs, etc. when visiting the area.  They had a strip with DOZENS of gift shops and food places. We went from store to store, browsing for T-shirts, magnets, and anything else that caught our interest.  Tyler found a couple of cool wolf T-shirts, to keep his wolf theme of this trip going.  Dawn found a shirt she liked as well, and I found a shirt I really liked but they didnt have my size. (I'm 6"2", 200 lbs, a 'medium" isn't gonna cut it!)  Since most of the shops carried the same stuff, we went from store to store trying to find the same style, but no luck!  Dawn was starting to get annoyed with me because I have a tendancy to become obsessive about some things if I put my mind to it.  I wanted that shirt, darn it!  Alas, it was not to be....so we settled for getting double chocolate waffle ice cream cones on the way out instead!  It was a pretty little town, but we wound up spending about two hours here, which was a little more than we had planned.  We hit the road and headed towards Denver.
