Didn't have a tripod, so nightshot is a little blurry!
I had been to Niagara Falls before, but my son and girlfriend had not, so I figured this would be an ideal first destination for our trip. It took over 6 hours to get there, so it was dark when we arrived. We set up out tents at the KOA campground on Grand Island, then went to view the falls at night. They light them up with multicolored filtered lights from the Canadien side, so the Falls changed colors every minute or so. The volume of water is astounding! A couple visiting from Houston asked us if we knew which way to the falls. Um....follow the roar of the water? We walked around the park a bit, then went back to our camp. It was a small site, not enough room to set up two tents, so Tyler decided to just sleep in the truck. Tomorrow we will spend the day exploring the area, on both the US and Canadian sides.
