Ever thought about taking a month off, and driving coast to coast? In the summer of 2006 we got to do just that! We traveled from Connecticut to the Pacific and back, visiting as many National Parks and Attractions as we could, tent camping along the way. Here is our story!

Salem, OR

The campsite Tyler never saw
Thursday-  We got up early to try to make up some of the time we lost yesterday, we were packed up and on our way by 8 am.   It was easy to pack up because we barely unpacked..  just our tent and sleeping bags.  In fact, Tyler never unpacked at all, and slept through that entire campsite! We were already on the road by the time he woke up.  We headed on down into Oregon, our next destination is Crater Lake. It was time to give the Ridgeline an oil change, so we got off the highway in Salem and asked directions to the nearest Jiffy Lube.  Dawn stayed there with coffee and a magazine while Tyler and I went next door to Wal Mart for supplies. We got food, snacks, soda, water, and a new glass lantern cover to replace the one I broke. By the time we were done shopping, the truck was ready and we were on the road again!
