Leiden : My first EVER TravBuddy Meetup!
Well, you’re probably exhausted from the last two entries if you’re eyeballs and will to live made it to the end of the text so I’ll keep this one brief and leave the words and many, many images to the more capable hands of the wonderful TravBuddy crew that I had the good fortune to hook up with in Leiden, my FIRST EVER TB MEETUP!
As I roll into Leiden on the train I am lucky to have my good TB pal Patricia (pms70) primed and ready to spot the “red haired little guy with the butterfly t-shirt on” and thankfully she’s on the platform ready to great me and take me under her wing.
Anna (Dolfijn) the host had done a fantastic job on this event not only in the sheer organisational nightmare that she overcame to make things run as smooth as could have been hoped for, but also in the venues and events that she had all ready to go for us to help the good times roll.
I loved meeting everbody… ALL 45 ODD OR SO!!! Quite an overwhelming number for little ol’ me. Everyone seemed so nice and friendly and all that gooey stuff. I was chuffed to bits to meet some of my slightly longer term TB pal contacts (Patricia and Keiko) and thrilled to meet so many great new personalties in my own understated way (Anna, Eric, Wendy, Mehmet, Jo, Louise, John, Alex, Bas, Joost, Devika to name but a T INY portion!).
