Return from NY
March 8, 2004
We had a bit of time after having to check out of our hotel so we were really grateful for having packed lightly. We just had a walk around one more time, looking for a place to have breakfast first and then just taking in some more of the atmosphere before it was time to get a subway ride to JFK. We thought we had figured out the system by then but still somehow managed to get a subway going in the wrong direction. New Yorkers turned out to be really nice and helpful people though, they told us how to get there even faster, and they volunteered the information without us even asking.
We made good time on the flight back and just to show off Matt even went to a lecture pretty much directly from Heathrow after landing. Not because he felt it was necessary but so he could say "I've just flow in from NYC, you know" ;-) For my part, I decided to have a sleep though. I didn't have any lectures anyway.
