OMG......It's Finally Here....The Main Meet Up

Mel and I were up by 8:30am in anticipation of trying to meet up with Wendy and Louise for a mini pool party.  Unfortunately, it seems Mandalay Bay has completely changed their rules and every person has to enter the pool with a valid room key that is checked electronically before they let you through.  Thanks to Brett and Dana, we moved things over to the Flamingo pool which turned out to be pretty packed. Melanie did what Melanie does best.....blog and talk on the phone, while Brett and I tried to get in the water which was much like a freakin ice bath....good grief!  Dana came by for a bit and we all had lunch together which was cool. Now it was time to hurry home and get ready so Mel and I could get to the Harley Davidson Cafe before 5pm. 

We hurry home, get about a 20 minute nap, and it's time to shower and get on the move.

  We managed to make it there right at 5pm and they were just setting up our table.  Don, Megan, Wendy, Louise, and Michelle were already there.   In a matter of minutes, we were up to almost the full 25 we were expecting!! Whoo Hoo!!!  As usual, the Queen CW was very demanding, and had me under her thumb as her trusty sidekick...and all I got for all my hard work was a ring...an onion ring!! LMAO!!!

Dinner went off without a hitch.......it was a great time!! We honored the Bday peeps present (Louise and Adrian) with their birthday cake and then bought them as well as Julie, our Vegas Virgin, a shot of Patron! We managed to find Hooters cows outside and took pictures with them of course as well...only in Vegas!!!  Our furthest traveled TB was Joe (www.

We then hurried over to Mandalay Bay because we found out earlier in the evening that they were going to start charging earlier than anticipated.  We got stuck in horrendous traffic getting into Mandalay due to several events happening that night so parking was pretty much non-existent.  Dana and Melanie both asked people as they walked by where they were parked and most were no where close to us so fat chance of getting back around in completely stopped traffic to get the spot!  Then this family had passed twice and ccided to get out and go follow them to hold the spot for us.  We get around the aisle and see Dana waving people by when all of a sudden another car appears to want to take the spot from Melanie so I jump out to help Dana who yells at the guy to keep moving and instead, he just sits there.

  Soon other cars are honking and finally, he sees another car leaving so he takes that spot and we can finally get into ours.  What a cluster!  While all this is happening, Mel gets a call from Adrian who says The Mix Lounge is already charging $40 each to get in and it's 8:20.  WTF?!?!  We make a last minute change and decide to hit up Eye Candy which is a free ultra lounge downstairs in the casino. 

The rest of the night was somewhat a blur since so much was going on and we were dancing - almost everyone danced which was a first.  I got to see Adrian, Sal, and Brett strut their stuff on the dance floor and spent a lot of time with Melanie, Dana, Julie, and Harriet.  Our friend Christy (non TB) was there and that girl is our famed wild child!  She's nuts but I love her to death and glad we got to party together! 

Seemed like the night went fast but Mel, Brett, Dana, and I were the last stragglers around 3am when we decided to hit downtown for breakfast and then a couple hours of sleep since I had to pick Brett back up in a couple hours for another breakfast with Sal and then drop him off at the airport.
