Lazy day in Mykonos
May 9, 2007
Michelle and I decided go off on our own separate ways today.
I couldn't go to Mykonos and NOT go to the beach. So I jumped in line at the taxi stand and waited for a taxi. What an experience! People were cutting in line left and right. An old woman in front of me starts yelling at me in Greek and pushing me to the taxi. The driver asked me where I was going and then he told me to get in the back. Even though he already had an old couple in the taxi.
So I got in and we dropped off the old couple, and then he took me to Paradise Beach. I didn't want to pay for one of the beach chairs, so I settled myself down on the pebbly sand. There were so many American, Italian, and French tourists there. I lay out for about 4.5 hours, the weather was perfect. Sunny, not too hot, and also had a nice breeze. I felt a little old since almost everyone seemed to be under the age of 22-years-old!
Later that night, I had a drink called Campari, which I thought tasted like gasoline!
