Don't judge a book by it's cover!
When Mel and Erin found out I was coming out to Vegas they knew they had to take me to one of two places... one being Luv It which is voted the BEST frozen custard place!!!

The place may look like a dump, it could use some up keep... but don't judge a book by it's cover because this place is AMAZING! Luv it actually started out in 1973 and the only way that people have known about it since is because of word of mouth advertising... just like Mel and Erin found out about it from Bill (bkretzer)... and this has made them a landmark of Vegas as it is one of 10 local business that has stayed open for the past 30 years!

Erin and I walked up to the sign on the side and started looking at the flavors... I had my mind dead set on apple spice (it's my ice cream flavor of the fall) and the guy at the windown told me either chocolate or vanilla... I'm not too sure why they have a huge sign with flavors on the side... but I got my default flavor of chocolate----mmmm I love chocolate!!!

This custard was really smooth and had a consistancy of hard ice cream rather than the soft serve so it melted in your mouth with every lick! It's definitely worth trying out when your in Vegas!!!

When I was little I used to live right down the street from Luv It and would ride my bike there. The smell inside is something I will never forget. My Grandma still lives down the road and goes there every so often.

Apparently Vegas's first truly European-style pastry shopp!
As I was walking through the Bellagio with Erin, Mel and Louise we stopped upon this magical store which made me feel like we weren't in Vegas anymore!

This store had a HUGE island in the center with any type of sweet and pastry you could imagine! And these aren't your corner pastry shop pastries...these are decadent, light and airy snacks that are rich with flavor that look like works of art! The out side of the shop has a cascading, larger than life chocolate fountain with white and dark chocolate!

Mel and Erin made their way over to the pastries where as I looked at what I like the best... Ice Cream! I decided since I just ate and I wasn't too hungry I was just going to get the sherbert! I got a raspberry/strawberry one and let me tell you it was DELICIOUS! This sherbert had HUGE chunks of fruit in it that made it taste even better!

Apparently Jean-Philippe has sandwiches and salads too... I was just in such a sugar fix I seemed to miss that portion! But it's definitely a pastry lovers dream shop and can't be missed!

Super nice hotel!!!
Though I didn't stay at the Bellagio I did get to hang out there for a dayishness thanks to Louise (1morespicey) while she was here for the Vegas TB meetup.

This place is nice... I was in awe when I walked in... the way the hallways and main lobby are set up is more like a art display...in fact they change the one room around for the seasons (it was in between seasons when I was there)... there's also a italian glass ceiling in the one are. When we had to go to consierge desk they were very friendly, helpful and organized. Also on the main floor is an amazing pool and amazing eateries and pastry shops!

The room that Louise stayed in was amazing... it was huge... the bathroom was unbelievable... and she had a great view of the fountain display every half hour! The bed was super comfortable and she had the luxury of having a huge bathtub and shower stall in her bathroom (you could fit a small family in the bathroom alone)!

Hue Thai is in the Asian Market (or as I was told China Town) of Las Vegas. The restaurant is really nice and there is ALOT to chose frome on the menu including cuisines from Vietnamese Pho, Thai Tom Yum, Lao Papaya Salad, and Chinese Steamed Ginger Fish.

The dining area is very open and spread out so you can feel secluded from the rest of the patrons as you eat... the coolest thing is the pad the waiter uses to write on... it's all electronic so once he types it in the order goes straight back to the chefs without him going to talk to them.

Mel, Erin and I ordered the Pho... which is a Vietnamese soup. This soup has a broth base to it and in it it has Tripe, meatballs, stomach lining, rice noodles, and some veggies. The soup is very good and very filling.... on the table there are condiments to put into the soup, and whatever other food you may order. My favorite to put in there is the spicy sauce and the fish sauce!

The other thing you have to get here is teh Boba Tea... which is also called bubble tea. It is a selection of asian teas, Erin and I got lychee and Mel got Green, and it has tapioca balls in it called Boba... so it looks like bubbles throughout the drink.
