Green Park, St. James', National Portrait Gallery
March 15, 2007
Nikki and Greg and I are trying to cross things off our "Things one is
supposed to do and see in London" list as the calendar pages are
slipping away.
Partially cloudy day, but it was still nice to be outside. St. James' Park is really beautiful, and recommended. By me. You can take that for what it's worth. We walked through Green park, past Buckingham Palace (which I hadn't seen yet?!?!), and into St. James. A very nice walk. Then we walked up to the National Portrait Gallery in attempts to tackle that... which was exhausting. It's very large. Lots of... well, potraits. Of people who were "important" (says who?) to British history. I was bored by all the royals/political people, but it was cool to see the paintings of old authors and poets. We didn't finish, though, because we got too tired.
Oh yeah, and then when we were on our way home the 300 movie premiere was going on. Guys with spears and painted on abs everywhere. Oh, London.
Greg took some of these pictures. His camera is better than mine.
