Lima, Cuzco, Machu Pichu, Lake Titicaca

Peru. Lima, Cuzco, Machu Pichu.

First night in Lima we just went for a meal and went to bed because we were tired. The next day we went and saw some bones in a catacumb (dont know how to spell that) and went to some museams and cathedrals. The taxis here are crazy. We got drunk in loki hostel on the night which was really awesome and moved on to a place called tequila rocks which is really not.

We moved to another hotel and flew to cuzco with GAP adventures as part of our inca trail. We went for a meal with the other trekkers, the next day we went to the Sacred Valley and our guide Jeremy told us loads about inca history. We started the Inka trail the next day, the first day was awesome, scenery is unbeleivable. The second day sucked because I wasnt very well and it is all uphill, the group waited for me at the top of a freezing mountain for an hour and a half though which was really nice of them. The group we went with all turned out to be a good laugh, some woman told us to turn our radio off during the third day but she came to regret that by the evening. I was all better by the third day and the rest of the trip was brilliant. We took some vodka and pisco up and created Vodko. We shared it with all the porters and the other trekkers to celebrate JPs birhday.

Machu Pichu is just as awesome as you expect it to be, have a look at the photos. When we got back to cuzco everyone went out for alpaca then to a bar called, crap I cant remember but it had an african theme and the music was awesome.

Mam says still missing you! glad to hear your enjoying yourself. looking forward to seeing more photos. gran raine is coming over on tuesday to have a look at what youve posted so far. tell morrell to get his act together and set up a homepage. i saw mrs McBride at the weekend and she was asking after you all, Her eldest son lives in Auckland so she has offered to put you in contact with him. he is an outdoor surfer type of person who did this world travel thing when he was in his twenties so he would be a good person to meet up with. dad went to his computer course on ancestry yesterday but when he came home he found that his new computer was playing up a bit frustrating for him! I am using his old laptop at the moment. Our Frances showed me what to do but I still dont think I would be able to manage on my own. Dad is going to show me how to do e-mail at some point this week so will be able to e-mail you instead of taking up all room on here. love you lots mam xx
