Scenery, exercise and culture, all in one day!
October 6, 2008
After a long bus journey from Rio we arrived pretty monged in Foz, an afternoon went by, we're not sure what we did.... we got food at one point. Quelle surprise!
Next morning we headed to the waterfalls, unfortunately the water was brown because of recent heavy rainfall but they were still really impressive - our photos don't really do them justice. The important thing was we had a fantastic time, got incredibly wet and met a new traveller buddy, Gavin.... who speaks Spanish so we're being lazy again and letting him fix everything for us ;-)
After the falls we returned to town and then walked, then walked with a bit of a detour, to the mosque as apparently Foz has a big muslim community. It was lovely. In fact the only thing looking better in the vicinity was Bridge and I wearing headscarves. There's no photos so don't even bother looking!
