Copacabana and Isla Del Sol

We travelled by bus from La Paz to Copacabana on the shores of Lake Titicaca, it's a fairly small very touristy town but it was ncie to be by the water. Our plan was to do a bit of walking in the area before heading to Puno in Peru to see the Peruvian side of Lake Titicaca.

We started with a 17km walk from Copacabana to Yampupata through some lovely scenery (terraced hills, little villages and the lake to our left) then hired a boat to take us to Yumani on Isla del Sol.

Next morning we walked around the southern end of the island before heading up to Challapampa in the north of the island to catch the ferry back to Copacabana. We got lost rather a lot but think we covered about 10km.
