Our longest bus journey of the trip finally came to an end here after 31 hours.......we did think about crossing the border into Bolivia but decided against it and are having a last night in Argie before heading over tomorrow.
Just been to the supermecado too and I´m glad we decided on one last night as we managed to pick up a litre of rum for 1 pound 65 and a little of voddie for about the same so thats the booze situation sorted for at least tomorrows bus journey !!!!! HA HA not really it´s should last at least a few days but you know with the heat and all that who knows ?????????????
For a border town it´s really quite nice here, but anyone coming here and hoping to find the prices quoted in the L.P you´re going to be upset. We went to all their suggestions and the prices were at least double whats in the book, we´re staying at the Belgrano Hotel which isn´t in there but is far nicer and cheaper than all their suggestions.
The journey here from Salta was unreal. The landscape that you pass through has to be seen to be believed. Huge canyons, red mountains, tiny little beautifully pauinted villages, dried up river beds, and ....................llamas....loads of them, and we´re not even in Bolivia yet.......and we saw our first donkey of the trip. Admittedly not as exciting as a Llama or a Tucan but it´s more wildlife to be crossed off !!!!!
Very tired now so hading off for dinner then lots of zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz´s but first our last bottle of argie red i think ......
Ria sends her xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Bye now see you in Bolivia
