After speaking to a couple of Agra veterans, we decided the Taj and gardens are all it has to offer so after photos at sun rise we pack up and off we go again, this time to Delhi.

No specific plan, it's either a few days in Delhi or straight to Darjeeling.

Slight prob when the train stops as it doesn't go to Delhi as we were told but stops some way short, but a pre paid tuk tuk ( even though the touts try their best to convince us they don't exist!!!) spirits us to New Delhi station for a few rupees rather than the 100's the normal bandits wanted!!

Thankfully we'd read the Lonely Planets advice on Delhi station , and even though the touts try everything - mis direction, oh its burnt down, it's closed, even dressing up as a train worker, we finally make it into the Int. tourist Info office - big thasnks L.P- your name shines brightly once again!!!

Anyway in the tourist office we find that there are only A/C tickets left til Friday and we can't handle that so it's plan B and a few days in Delhi. We book the train for fri and it's off to a new home for a few days  !!!

We're staying in Magnu - ka - tilla a more mellow part of Delhi 10 k out . It's a tibetan colony and we're in Wongdhen house. It's a great place more a hotel than a guest house and only 275 rupees - Woop woop, parp parp !!! The room is great and theres a massive terrace just outside our room overlooking the Yamuna river which seems to have flooded half the local village !!!

This place is so laid back, more relaxed than anything we've seen up till now and the food is great- Thukpa ( noodle soup) and Momos ( stuffed dumplings) BUT NO BOOZE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you're reading Chris send us out some supplies!!!!

We spend the next three days just chilling in the sun on the terrace, outside the temple and wandering the streets.

This place rocks, exactly what we needed after a week of non stop moving around. It's Thursday night now and we're a bit sad about leaving but we need a cuzza and we're gagging for a drink so it's up and out tomorrow at 6.30 for a 27 hour train trip to Darjeeling.

P.S still no elephants!!!!!
