We love Kanyakamari, it's just so weird!!! Theres no other way of describing it here. Think of Brighton with it's seemingly out of place architecture and then take away all the people and let things start to crumble and fall down a bit. Chuck in a load of mad indians, some great bazaars, a fantastic egg roll guy, howling wind, and a religous festival and you've got some idea of it here.Lands End of India where three seas meet and batter each other is a pretty good description too.
You can't get any further south in India without getting wet ( even on land it's pretty sodden ) and we're here and for one night only!!! In fact we're starting to feel like the littlest hobo we're moving so quickly again, but it's great fun...maybe tomorrow we may wanna settle down until tomorrow we'll just keep moving on!!!
There's a few things to see here besides water though, a cool island with, yes you've guessed it, a temple and also a 133 feet high statue to some guy who wrote a 133 page book about something or other( probably something important seeing as they built a massive great statue to the guy, but i'm buggered if i can remember what it was !!!), a museum ( yawn) and a few other odds and sods.
