Two countries and three airports in the same day and it all went smoothly amazingly!!! First off it was to Langkawi first thing in the morning for the early 9 o clock flight out, forty minutes later and we're in KL , a four hour wait and it's on the plane to Singapore where we're staying the night, a quick taxi to the hotel and we can relax for a few hours until tomorrow morning when we're off to OZ!!!POOP POOP!!!
We checked in and had a quick Shazza then it was time to get out there. Time was ticking away so unfortunately we had to ditch the plan for the bumboat ride around the Merlion and a jaunt around Boat Quee ( yes I know you don't spell it like that but i'm having one of those blank moments......how do you spell the key where the boats live?????????????????????????????? I give up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Answers on a postcard please to the usual address ) Instead we headed straight to Raffles, surely no trip to Singapore is the same without experiencing the delight of a Singapore sling and as many monkey nuts as you can eat????? It's such a nice place a real step back in time, expensive but it's worth it isn't it, you've got to treat yourself sometimes haven't you, and you do feel special, very James Bond like!!!!!!
After experiencing the top end of Singapore life it was time to retreat back down the scale and head to the locals food market, again I can't remember the name of the market but obviously we had to order Singapore Noodles and they were incredible.
We just had time to find the most hidden 7eleven in the world ( it took twenty minutes and was down a road, under the flyover, round the corner through the shopping centre, cross the road, around the roadworks, turn around and it's behind you.......confused???????? yees????? we were when we were given these directions, but we did eventually find it and get some water which was the only reason for the trip.
