This is absolute paradise, you can keep your samui's, langkawi's and penang's, we don't want them!!!! No where is going to beat the sheer majesty and beauty of this island!!!
The journey was a bit of a mare though, 2 hours on a bus from Trang then a 2 hour wait before being crammed into a speedboat for a further 2 hours of punishment, then paying 50 baht for the 1 minute trip from the pontoon to the beach, but god was it worth it !!!! This is the most amazingly beautiful place we have ever been , white sand, turquoise sea, baking sun - wonderful. the island is so small you can walk ( or swim ) around it. The first night we stayed on Sunrise beach ( there are three beaches , pattaya (the busiest ), sunset ( the smallest ) and ours ( the best HA HA )) in Taratao Cabana huts which was ok but then the next day we're up at 9 and moving into a brand new bamboo hut 10 metres from the sea ( 5 at high tide ) which is fantastic and only 500 baht.
We've eaten the best noodle soup in the world from a dirty old roadside stall and some fantastic curries and prawn crackers. We are definately coming back herein February Pops and Crow, sorry about the journey but you'll love it here.....oh and it's 40 degrees and above so you better bring out the emulsion Chris you're going to need it!!!!
Oh and I forgot Nemo lives here too , we found him yesterday hiding out from the showbiz world, apparently he's been in rehab since the second film after getting caught up in a booze, coke and lobster hooker scandal, it was all hushed up at the time but he's about to make a comeback in a remake of Spartacus set below sea instead of Rome..........I'mmmmmmmm Spaaarrrrtacus!!!
