Bert,s final few days BOO HOO
Day 6 and we drove back into Rotorua to go to Thermal Wonderland, which is an amazing place full of the results of volcanic activity, first we watched old lady Knoxx erupt at 10. 15, ( sh{e a Geyser ) then we wandered around the park past bubbling mud pits, puke green volcanic lakes, champagne steaming pits, and lots of other things which stank like rotten eggs but were amazing to look at, we took loads of photos but again I can,t put them on as the computer doesn,t want to do it, ..........well what can you expect when even the bloody apostrophe STILL won,t work AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, that took most of the day to walk around then we jumped back into Bert and headed off towards Thames where we spent our last night of the great journey.
We also went chicken feeding and spotted some wild Rhea,s ( yes Rheas !!!!!!!!! ) and giant goats .
We also stayed in a really pretty campsite on the river and ate some more fan dabbie dozzie sirloins on the barbie!!
Day 6 - 267 km
Day 7 we spent mostly driving back to Auckland , only making one stop for Ria the very high class pleasure seeker get her eyebrows tinted !!!!! it was very sad having to give Bert back and he didn{t want to go we only hope his next parents look after him as well as we tried !!!!!!
We managed 111 km that last day to bring the total mileage upto 1355 km for the trip ney bad boss.
We had the best time ever and saw some awesome things, WE LOVE NEW ZEALAND !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Our total animal count came in at :cows, horses, dead beaver, butterflies, hedgehog, sheep, goat, dead sea bird, penguin, gull of the sea, turkeys, ducks ( mummy and babies ),dead rabbit,birds that looked like Kookaburras, Eagle eating dead rabbit, huge seabird, llama, coots, dead coot, dead stoat, dead possums ( millions ),dead baby wild pig, long blue necked Pukeko bird ( and we bought a new baby stffed one to make friends with the other animals ), peacocks, black swans,geese, KIWIS , pigs, deer, really nice chickens, giant GO ats, and lastly a RHEA!!!!!!!!
