A slice of Macau Casino
News have it. Some big time casinos are cash-strapped (in view of the overhyped financial turmoil) so the grandest of grand plans to make more casinos in Macau will be halted for some (at least for a while). Yet, nothing should stop anyone at anytime from having a slice of Macau casino, especially on a weekend.
It never fails to amaze me how people get into action inside the casino. We all know it's fun and addictive on one side and dangerous on the other. But for whatever reasons, there's no point going to Macau if you won't at least get inside any of the grand casinos in the area. It's so easy to get carried away though so it's always best to stick to your limit and the common sense to know exactly when to call it a night
The Venetian, MGM, Wynn and Starworld casinos are all grand, attractive and splendid.
I take pleasure not only in betting alone, but in observing how players move: the way they place their bets, what makes them play high or low, how superstition play the part and all things unnoticeable. I find it very interesting, educational and thought-provoking.
Of course, there's more to Macau than just the casinos. But for me, a visit to Macau has always brought pleasurable experience. Especially after a good win.

Fancy Macau?
Macau is such a small place but strategic enough to get you an exciting access to Hong Kong and China.
You can explore Macau in 2-3 days max. Some places to visit are:
Senado Square / St. Paul's Ruins- a mixture of shopping areas, souvenier shops, restaurants and cafes. This is the place to meet people, socialize a bit and do some people-watching too. Afterall, this is a piazza, just right in front of Leal Senado.
The same area of narrow streets lead to St. Paul Ruins, a Macau icon where a church facade is the only thing left standing. The structure shows the European Rennaisance influence in architecture which still are evident in some other historical buildings. Even the streets and building names still bear Portugese wordings to remind locals and tourists of Macau's historic past.
The Guia Fortress - They call it the oldest light house in the Far East. They said that from the tower you can see the entire Macau Peninsula.
There are also numerous churches, museums, exhibitions and new places to visit such as The Fisherman's Wharf and nearby Theme Park.
Macau Tower - if you are a traveler who pursues adrenaline-pumping adventures, then head to this place to do the necessary --- either Skywalk, SkyJump, Bungy Jump, LongIron Walk etc.

The Macau Tower, being the 10th highest in the world, boasts to have a panoramic view of the whole of Macau (and even Hong Kong, weather permitting). Travel agencies usually have special Macau day packages that includes a ferry ticket + Skywalk + Lunch (well I guess someone needs a serious lunch after the heart-stopping adventure! )
And of course, not to be missed when in Macau --- the Casinos. There is the Venetian Macau which is an enormous resort which has pretty much everything --- a hotel with complete facilities, a shopping arcade of it's own, an arena/concert hall (on sched right now is Avril this month, Linkin' Park in Oct and Tennis Showdown in Nov, while ZAIA is on right now) and many different restaurants. They have their own version of Venice complete with Gondola rides under the bright skies, surrounded by assortment of buildings and bridges.
Other new casinos (others not-so-new) are Wynn, MGM, Crown and many more. These hotels have their own casino facilities and entertainment areas.
Macau is also bordering Zhuhai, China --- another haven for good quality shopping at bargain prices. But Zhuhai is another story.
