My $12.00 airport chicken . . .
So I'm off to audition for the Bellydance Superstars again! This time it's in Washington DC. A considerably longer trip, I must say. So after getting through security and all that we had a while yet until we had to board the airplane. It was around lunchtime, and all we had was some trailmix and beef jerky, so we went ahead and bought some food. Of course, it's all ridiculously overpriced. I got what turned out to be about fourteen bites of chicken for twelve dollars. Yeah, it wasn't pretty. After we'd finished eating I realized I was out of gum. Since my ears are sensitive to pressure I ran over to a newsstand to buy some gum and got into a conversation with the cashier and a nice old lady. Then I joined up with Mom and we headed to our gate. Boarding was all quite uneventful and once we took off we had a lovely view as it was a beautiful day. We changed planes in Denver, and again in Minneapolis, and at around 11:00 local time we arrived in DC. Our trip was lovely up until that point.
