Last Day in Iceland and it's off to Boston Logan Airport
What a week it has been. I really hate to leave it all behind. The country has such extremes..like they say Fire and Ice. We are getting up at 0800 and finish packing. Heading down stairs to eat one last breakfast in Iceland. Our bus will pick us up at 1200 and take us back to Keflavik to the International Airport. Our plane leaves at 1700 hours for Boston.
GOOD BYE ICELAND......WE WILL BE BACK!!!
The flight to Boston was much better. The plane was cooler and not as full. We had an empty seat between us. Dinner was good. Chicken Cordon Blu with stuffing and a salad. The flight attendents on Icelandair are fantastic. When you push the service button they have no problem coming and helping you and it's all with a smile. Do that on an American flight and you get attitude.
We are staying at te Hyatt Harborside. Very nice hotel. They have a shuttle bus that will pick you up and drop you off at the airport. We check in took out luggage up to the room. We cleaned up and headed back to to the Harbourside Restaurant for dinner. Mike had salmon and I got a steak. Plenty of food and delicious. The service was great!!
Tomorrow we will be up very early to catch our flight to Washington D.C. then on to Tampa. We should be home by 1030.
It's 0430 in Boston. We have made it thru the ticket counter and security checkin and we are sitting at Gate 12 for United. Mike is off to get some coffee and a donut from Dunkin Donuts. The flight should start boarding in fourty five minutes.
