My sister dropped us of at the airport a little after 11:00am. Our flight leaves at 14:15. We both have been looking forward to this day for a long time.
When we checked our luggage we had to pay an extra $15..boooo!!! But what can you do, you gotta pay it!!
We are flying U.S. Airways Flight 710 from Tampa to Philadelphia. I have flown with them a few times and have never had a bad experience yet. Then U.S. Airways Flight 804 to Boston. The flight arrives at 16:30. Then it's Boston to Reykjavik on Icelandair Flight 630 and leaves at 21:30 and should arrive in Iceland at 06:30. We arrived on time!! Had to go thru security again and passport control. It all went well.
I bought our flybus ticket online before we left. It's a twenty five minute ride from the airport to Reykjavik. The bus will make a stop at our hotel..nice!! The bus picked us up from the airport and stopped at the bus station and changed buses and we were the first stop. We are staying at the Radisson SAGA. Nice hotel and the rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable.
We can not check in to our room until 14:00 so we are going to leave our luggage at the hotel and rent a car a drive around and do a little sight seeing. We get in at 06:30 which makes makes it 02:30 our time. We are going to try and stay up as long as we can..jet lag..:(( They let us check in early which is great because we are exhausted!!! The flight from Boston to Reykjavik was just at 5 hours. The service on the flight was great and dinner was superb. The seats were uncomfortable as hell. We used the pillow and blanket they gave us to sit on.
I checked the weather for the week and it looks like there will be rain, wind and even some snow!! That's OK, we are going to make the best of it all. Going to put the Blue Lagoon off till the end of the trip. I'm still getting over a bad cold which sucks!! O'well what can you do??
