i made it to the swiss alps, omg this place is so amazingly pretty. again, i will say, keyboard is a lil different here, but just little things, like the y and z buttons and for the life of me i cant figure out puctuation lol luved the comment bret about my typin, oh and thanks everyone for the kool mesgs, def make me smile. so the train last night was.... interesting. u get this lil room, about the size of 2 of my old desks and there are 6 beds in there, bunk bed style, 3 on each side. i have one of the middle ones. they are not horrible but not great either. u basically can only lay down in there. well i get on the train and get into the wrong bunk, but hey, all this traveling i have been doing so far and i have not gotten lost, so i was glad thats the only misplacment i had seen so far.

where i slept on the night train!
so this french guy with super strong cologne comes over cause the 1st girl checking tickets did not speak english and i could not understand her telling me i was in the wrong bunk. so he comes over and he thinks its funny that i dont speak french, well i got news for him, he does not speak english, he thinks he does but hell no he does not. so i follow him down like 10 million cars it seems with my huge backpack and finally get to my cart. he starts trying to talk to me and asks me where i am from and stuff, which again, like everyone i come across, understanding them is so hard. well he then is like 20 euros, so i laugh at him and then he looks at me and says, u voting for obama, now he looked very serious, i juist looked and said, hell ya, he is then like, ur ok american girl.
comfy huh
hahah i just laughed. one thing i have noticed is the interest peopoe have here in american politics. i mean, we as americans prob cant name most rulers of european countries yet people here are up to date on whats going on in american politics. once people find out im from america, a lot of times they want to talk about bush, which everyone hates here in europe and how much they want obama. so this guy asking me this was a lil odd, but since i have already had conversations with many people from around the world now about all this, it did not take me compltly by suprise. he then left and then a sec later this young blonde guy comes in and starts talking to me. he heard the train guy talking to me about being american and so we started chatting it up. he is from michigan, and traveling alone for 2 months.
yup its really that small lol
we sit there are talk for a long time and its fun cause we both have been traveling so we can talk about where we have been and then he has already been to italy and told me about this kool town i might go to. so then after awhile i finally get someone who is sleeping in my room. its this older french lady and her grandkid. she is very nice, very motherly and took that role. she spoke some english and was warning me about gangsters coming in the middle of the night, which i think she meant robbers. which i have heard about this b4, like some scary stories, like people being gassed while thez sleep on the train and then getting robbed. nice huh, well she is kool so i just lay back, and listen to my ipod, then we get this nice younger french guy in there on the middle bed across from me and then later a guy and some girl.
they all seemed ok so i went to sleep. well the older french lady was sweet and woke me and made sure i got to my stop and everything. so catched the train at 6am to switzerland, and the ride was soo beautiful, going thru the alps.

get in switzerland, and then get some money, which now i need chf, swiss money. u know thru this whole trip im very organized with my luggage, but the one thing im not is my money. they dont use 1 dollar bills here so anything under a 5 or 10 in swiss, is change. i dont like change and it jsut piles up in my bag. and what sucks is i have like 4 or 5 different kids of money in there, so paying for crap is annoying cause i am in spain but im pulling out great brit pounds or in france tryin to hand them american money.

pretty!!
my hostel here is nice, very swiss mountain looking lodge. the town here is small but i got lsot tryin to find my hostel, which i had some help from a older swiss lady and then these 2 aussie girls also were lost. i also did it with no taxi, which is aweseome cause i dont want to use taxis since the cab in nice charged me 18 euros for a short ride. bus is ok, but hard to use since people dont speak englsih, but the bus driver in Nice was very nice and gave me a free ride and we communicated with hand signals and thankfully one of the phrases in french i knew is, im lost.

omg so i just checked my email and got a email from that guy french guy from south africa, the football player, he is really nuts, check this out, this is what he wrote,

Hi Baby jennifer, Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

This is Liam saying hello to you, how are you doing, hope you are fine and enjoying in Barcelona, and i hope we will be one day in the South Africa and another time in your sate North Carolina. But first of all, Jennifer, i am crazy about you when i saw you yesterday. I slept only two hours yesterday night thinking about you throughtout the night. Jennifer, my love for you is so high. I immediately realised that you are my choice of perfection, so if you deny my love that i have for you, that means am no where. Thats my cell phone: +34 627763821. Please give me a call befor you leave. So please do you love me the way i do? I need your urgent positive respond as soon as possible.
yea im luvin it here!
Regards to you, Love Liam

freakin nuts is all i can say, there is no way im responding to that. like i said, guys here are a lil different, one thing about them is that it seems every guy in europe wears axe body spray, its like all i smell on them. so some other observations i have made are the toilets, i used this one this morning at the train station and it was weird, first it cost me .30 euros. next its self cleaning, so after each use, it locks up and is washed down with some kind of sanitizing water, which is why when i walked in thefloor and everything was wett, ewww. now regular toilets here donät have handles, each one is different, sometimes it takes me a min just to figure out how to flush it, u either push or pull something or the one here in swiss was like a trash can, u push in like a trash can and it flushes, odd. well im off to go do some more stuff here. ttyl
