SOOO excited that the travel day is here that is flying me into Las Vegas for my first Vegas TB Meetup....has been insane week prepping for this trip...mom's health issues, house issues. It was all worth it....what a great trip! BUT the most important thing about Vegas....NEVER A BAD HAIR DAY!!!! LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On my way.....

Sal...My welcoming committee

Had a crazy weekend trying to get ready for my first Vegas meetup.  Job issues, mom issues (was sick for a bit but doing better now), house issues.....

Up at 4:45 am to finish packing for Vegas.  Head off to work (thankfully a coworker picked me up and I was able to leave car at home).  I had a 6pm flight scheduled for Tuesday and of course, it was to be bad weather (severe t-storms and rain..ugh!).  Changed it to 4:30pm, thankfully and was able to take off on time.  Had arranged for another co-worker to take me to airport but BIG issues at work and she couldn't take me.  OK, quick, call car service.  Got them and they got to airport on time.   Sal (SinCityTraveler) was putting me up for two nights.  (THANKS SAL!!!!!!)  Sal gets me at the airport with a Welcome TB sign!  We head out and go to this local restaurant (and of course I forgot the name) OK, Sal let me know that it was the Draft House!  ...but they had these cheese puff ball things that were way yummy...and the lamb chops!  YUM!   We hang out there for a bit then head back to Sal's.  i am sooooo beat at this point and have to be up early for a 2 day seminar that i am attending while here.  Nighty night!!!

Wonderful little penzione in Las Vegas....feels like home
Casa de Sal is a lovely little penzione on the outskirts of the Strip in Las Vegas. Lovely home with a seaside theme. The courtyard is quite lovely with lights strung on the fences and around the yard. They also have a great pool (which is heated upon request). They also will provide airport pickup and drop-off (upon request also).
I stayed for two nights. The bed was quite comfy, shower and bath were great! Coffee is provided in the morning. If you'd like breakfast, just put in the request with the owner the night before. The same rule goes for dinner. And, the chef is wonderful! Great food!!!
All in all, a wonderful little place to stay.
