The Grand Canyon State

Sedona

Montezuma Castle

After visiting Montezuma Castle and driving through Oak Creek Canyon on SR-89A, we reached Sedona.  The Red Rocks are all around, and quite beautiful.  Legend has it that the rocks possess mystical powers.

The town and most of its gift shops were closed at this hour in the morning, but the ones that were open had alot of books and calendars having to do with meditation, healing, and self-actualization.

Driving around looking for photo opportunities, we came upon The Enchantment Resort.  They let us in the gate to have a look around.  Stopped inside and got coffee, while the paying guests were having a lavish breakfast.  More transcendentalism and UFO books in the gift shop.  Spas, golf, and tennis are popular, but we neither had the time nor inclination to do these.
