I always wanted to visit the Balkans by car and this summer we did it; Amongst others Shkodar in Albania, Mostar in Bosnia, Split and Dubrovnik in Croatia, Slovenia and the whole coast of Montenegro. My girlfriend Kaija and I started the car without any serious goals other than have a good time and see as much as possible - and so we did.

On our way to Podgorica we saw this restaurant which had a wonderful view over the Shkoder Lake. We decided on the spot that this would be the place where we would have our diner later that day after our visit in the capital.

We arrived at the restaurant at around 7 pm and were lucky to get an outdoor table in one of the corners and over viewing the lake and the little dock from where the police were sailing birdwatcher to and from.

The waiter was quick in taking our order and we got our starters rather fast. I had settled with a nice salad while my girlfriend had a spaghetti de mare. For main course I had a local version of a schnitzel with local cheese and ham while she had a mixed grilled fish. She didn’t like that she had the whole fish so we switched which was ok since I love fish.

The meal was in general ok and we had great evening overlooking the lake.

All in all a good meal and a great view.
