Hotel Concordia
Right between Lake Como and Lake Lugano on the way from Lugano to Menaggio you can find this wonderful little 3 star hotel, well it was not the easiest to find. The hotel is situated in the centre of the village of San Pietro Sovera-Porlezza.
The hotel rooms are small apartments equipped with everything from TV (only Italian canals) to a small kitchen. The hotel reception is situated next to the bar but otherwise the ground level is occupied with a good local restaurant full of locals.
The service is good and local and they speak English if you have the need for that; we had. Compared to hotels nearby and especially the ones in Switzerland this hotel is cheap.
Being situated in the village be prepared of the church bell to sound through the whole night every half hour and to have hen waking the chicken very early. But when this is said the rest is quiet and calm.
All in all; a very cosy hotel. They serve good food in the restaurant
