Konoba ŽUPSKI KOMIN
Close to Dubrovnik we were getting rather hungry and we were therefore looking for a nice restaurant where we could have a nice meal before we continued our drive home. After we entered the little village of Mlini we saw and restaurant that looked cosy.
After parking the car we entered a green terrace which served as the entrance. Unfortunately all the outdoor seats were taken so we had to go in door. Inside the restaurant was very cosy with nicely decorated tables all centred around round an open kitchen with open fire. The cooker was an old fashion one headed only by wood which gave the feeling that you were going back in time and sitting dinning like in the old days.
We were greeted by the waiter a very well English speaking young and tall man, he explained about the menu and gave us a good impression of the place from the start.
We chose our menu and while my girlfriend as usual had her favourite starter, an octopus salad and which turned out to be really good I had taking a salad. She chose a lamp shaslik, while I took chicken breast in orange sauce. Before we got our food we were served an appetiser, which were fantastic. I don’t know what it was, we asked but it was a restaurant secret.
The meal was great, but we had to wait too long between the starters and the main course.
All in all; good restaurant, very cosy and really professional waiters.
