After lunch we dropped down the hill a bit to Hadrian's Villa. It was of course all ruins now unlike the totally intact Villa d'Este. The model shown in the pictures was really to large to easily photograph and definitely to large to comprehend given what is left. Although it is fairly well intact, given it's age, it is hard to reconstruct what it was in your mind. Especially when there are groves of olive trees grown all throughout the once interior spaces. There was one room of one building that I saw that had an halfway intact vaulted ceiling, which was very cool to see. But intact or not, it is always neat to see something that old still standing.
