Road trip to Madison, Wisconsin for a TravBuddy Meetup.

The lake that wasn't

As we drove down scenic I-94 towards Madison, alyssa_ob and I decided to stop for lunch and a brief drive through the Wisconsin Dells. After lunch at the world’s worst Wendy’s, we stopped for a couple pictures at Paul Bunyan’s Lumberjack Meals and then moved on to take pictures of Lake Delton.  Or perhaps, a more accurate description would be the dried-up Lake Delton .  Earlier this year, the area received a bunch of rain causing a part of the man-made lake exterior to give way causing all the water to drain out leaving only a small river in its place.
