A journey all around the continent, visiting some of the less travelled routes (if such routes still exist and I think them worth trying). The journey ends outside South America, the finish in western Canada.

Santiago

From Pucón I took a night bus to Santiago. I arrived early and went straight to the Casa Roja hostel in Barrio Brasil, where I caught up with some friends from the Navimag.

I had a quick look around the centre, but I'll be back for Christmas so no need to see too much. I saw the presidential palace and the Plaza de Armas and then came back to the hostel to spend the afternoon sunbathing next to the swimming pool.

Today I took the bus to Pichilemu, a beach resort with an international reputation for good surf. The bus broke down half way and I didn't get there until 8pm, but no worries as I'm here to relax for a week.
