Liberty Airport, Newark NJ

So, there are hurricanes moving up the East Coast. I hope it doesn't delay my departure to Delhi. A box of sushi ago the monitors showed all flights arriving and departing on time. Fingers crossed it stays that way for the next few hours.
The tail end of the flight here from Seattle was very bumpy, due to the hurricane(s), but I had the good fortune to be sitting next to a very friendly, calm New Yorker who must have been in her 60s or 70s, who coincidentally happened to be born in Berlin. She had been back for the first time since leaving (as a child) a few years ago, and we chatted about that experience.
She was curious about the fact that I was going to India on my own. She said that much as she loves traveling, she wouldn't want to go by herself, and that she had friends who had been to India, and were glad that they had seen it...once.
I am glad that I'm going to be seeing it myself, am also glad to be taking this opportunity, difficult as it feels to be going without Han and co.
