The Summary
Iceland, the Land of Ice and Fire is a dream destination for me. I was hoping I might get the chance to see the firework display of the Gods; the Aurora Borealis. Aware that it may still be a little early in the year to see this spectacular display, I went anyway, as ever eternally optimistic. The other main highlight for me would be a chance to see some whales, especially as they would still be swimming gracefully in the sea and not swimming in oil on a dinner plate!
