Lima is a brilliant place. Very hussle and bussle. The traffic is crazy! On the first day we went to the Monastrie de San Franciso (patron saint of Peru). It was really strange, the monastry itself was really interesting but the catacombs underneith we totally weird. 25,000 peoples skulls and bones arranged in lines and circles! They were put there over a century ago! it was really eerie like. We wandered around the rest of Lima taking in the sights. There were quite a few school trips going on and they would wave and say hello because we were blatantly English! Went to the Cathedral which was cool. Had a Pisco Sour in this famous Peruvinan Hotel which is a really strong traditional Peruvian drink. On the night we drank in the hostel & went to Tequila Rocks. What a strange place. There was loads of women and they all wanted to cling onto western men. It was ridiculous! I know im good looking but ive never ever had that kind of attention. Problem is the indigenous people are pretty weird looking. That didnt stop JP who ended up going back to hers to do the ´no pants dance'. The next day wasnt so active. We went to the various markets. In the food market this wifey tried to sell us drugs! No thanks. But no the night we went to this really flash sea food restaurant which is built on a promenade. It was silver service with beers and cost us about 14 quid which is really expensive over here! It was class. This morning we flew to Cusco which is the beginning of the Inca Trip to Machu Pitchu. We went to the Sun God Temple which was facinating. Paid a local 5 soles (1 quid) for an hour tour and it was superb. Everybody is feeling a little altitude sickness. Cusco is over 3000 metres high! its a strange feeling, shortness of breath and light headedness. And now we are off out for some scran and beers. We are eating Guinea Pig here, the little claws and that are still on! ha. Right no photos yet but I´ll soon up load them. Hope everyone is ok. Having an amazing time. Ill keep in touch!
