In the begining...

I got stationed in Enid, Oklahoma after my two years in Europe. It is not a bad little town, plenty of nice people and lots of little bars. You see there is not much to do in Northwest Oklahoma, but I am only an hour away from OKC, an hour and a half from Tulsa, 45 min to Stillwater (the way I drive) and I kinda like it.
In Enid you will find Vance AFB, home to a large amount of pilot training for the US military. We train AF, USN, and USMC pilots basic flying before they go and find out what aircraft they will fly in the regular service. Its a big job for such a little base, and we do it well. There are an average of at least 250 sorties (flights) everyday from Vance, making it one of the busiest air bases in the US.
