Bangkok: Dress me in your finest wares

Since we did a little research, we found out about this bird flu thing and decided that perhaps we’ll steer clear of the fowl in the markets. Other than that… Chicken isn’t off my menu.

The main purpose of having a few days in Bangkok on the way home was to get some new suits, so our first port of call was the tailor; Ambassador Fashion. These guys have a good reputation and after having a chat to them we did a bit of browsing. Picked our cloth and haggled a bit to get to a very reasonable price considering our demands; 30’000 Baht in total (4x 2-pant suits, 6x shirts). Once the financials were agreed, we stayed a while longer chatting away and made arrangements to come back in a couple of days for a fitting.

Walked away very satisfied.

Just to come to grips with Bangkok, we wandered around for a while. A bit of shopping for groceries and other goodies. First impressions are that Bangkok would be fine for transit or a few days, but I don’t think I’d enjoy a longer stay here; like a fortnight or more. It’s not really my scene.

A city trying to be busy… If that makes sense.

Anyway, returned to the hotel with my Red Bull in my possession. I am so addicted to SE Asian Red Bull… sweet, syrupy goodness…. *gahhh*

Hyped myself up on a few viscous Red Bull injections and bombed away in the pool for the afternoon.
