On May 14, we arrived to Cuzco, which is also known as the Ciudad Imperial (Imperial City). You can see lots of mountains from the plane. We first started out by taking the cab that was waiting for us outside the airport and took us to our hotel, which we had already reserved a day before in Lima. The first thing we did was to walk around the city, and at the same time trying to locate ourself to know where we were on the map. The Plaza was not far from our hotel, so we decided to go there. The Plaza in Cuzco was beautiful and different from the one we have seen in Lima. We took a few pictures around the plaza, which had a nice water fountain in the center, from the plaza you can also observe the Christ Statue located on top of one of the hills, then we decided to find a place to eat. There are many nice restaurants around the plaza where you can eat. You can find just about anything around there. We also went to buy a few souvenirs at affordable prices, you can even try to bargain with some of the sellers whenever you buy multiple items from them. Also make sure you stop at a panaderia, and try different varieties of bread, my friends that went with me liked it a lot.
