A Nice Little Treat Away from it all
We stayed here as part of our Contiki tour. Final stop was in Amsterdam. It is in a lovely location about 10 miles from Amsterdam centre in a quaint little village called Monnikendam. it is built on a working marina on the north side of the village about 100yards off the main road. the hotel is built on two floors so no lift.the staff are very good and efficient. the rooms are basic but comfortable, with most having a view of the marina or countryside. the hotel caters for all age groups . T

The break fast is ok and an evening buffet is offered or you can have a bar meal. however the bar can get very noisy with the young clients .the village is but 2 minutes walk away and offers such delights as a Spanish restaurant,Chinese,Italien to name but three.a very frequent bus service runs from the main road iff you wish to go into amst or volendam overall not 5 star but a very nice experience.

Overall I would recommend this place as it also has a nice night club inside. Very cool palce to stay at.
