More shopping and eating!

We leisurely entered into Saturday by lounging around and shopping some more. At this point, I’m worried I can’t fit all my purchases into my carry-on. But then I have faith in my amazing packing abilities! For lunch F and I wanted to go to a nostalgic favorite – Yuet Lee – I don’t necessarily think it’s great Chinese food, but it’s cheap and fresh. We called Jonathan, an old college friend of mine, to join us. It was great catching up with him and checking out his new tattoos. I swear he’s going to run out of room on his body soon! We had planned to go to
We had dinner at Slanted Door – one of my favorite places in SF. It’s French-vietnamese and everything is delicious! We always get the shaken beef, which is divinely good. We also tried some new items – the sautéed sweet corn with mushrooms and scallions (so yum) and the stir-fried chicken with nuts and dates (very good). I also had a lovely pinot noir. Dessert wasn’t so good, but I never really find that asian fusion places have particularly good dessert. But overall, the meal was delicious and we planned it so we didn’t overdo it since we were dancing tonight and didn’t want to feel too heavy. We tried both Rubyskye and Slide, but opted for Slide since we prefer hip hop over techno (although Rubyskye is a much prettier and higher class club). We had so much fun dancing! The music was great for most of the night until the dj started playing weird 80’s rock music. At that point we were exhausted anyways, so we happily headed back to the hotel.
