This is a trip I've been planning for almost 5 years! Hoping to keep everyone updated along the way...

Day 9 - Travel to Nature's Valley

Bramon Wine Estate
Spent most of the morning traveling from Port Elizabeth to Nature's Valley along the coast.  Nice drive, The Garden Route, but be prepared.  It is mostly a two lane road and there was much of it under construction which means that it was a ONE lane road.  Wait times were fairly long but I was not in a hurry.

Got in to my room around mid-day at Tranquility Lodge.  I'll write a review as well but a very nice place.  I recommend it if you'd like to spend a couple of nights.  There is a lot to do right around here by way of hiking and the beach.  Nature's Valley is part of what they call the Crags which offers quite a bit.

I decided to have lunch at Bramon Wine Estate.  Great people, great food and great wine.  Enjoyed it immensely.  From there I went on to Monkeyland.  Basically a monkey sanctuary.  They have over 350 primates living there.  It was a great day.  But let me tell you...  Monkeys don't like to sit still to get a good photograph.  LOL

Tomorrow is D-DAY!  Bloukrans Bungee Jump!

Great little place in the Valley
Wow! I found this place while searching online for a place to stay near Bloukrans. What a find! The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and Chef Peter makes amazing meals!

There is lots to do within a 20-30 minute drive. Nature's Valley is part of the Crags, Plettenberg Bay, South Africa. Near by is shopping, Birds of Eden, Elephant Sanctuary and Monkeyland just to name a few. Be sure to stop by the Reception desk and let them know what you want to do. They have discount slips for many of the local attractions including Bloukrans Bungee Jump.

If you are going to travel The Garden Route in South Africa and need a place to stay then I definitely recommend Tranquility Lodge.
