City center

My trip ended in Bologna. It took us just a few hours to travel from Rome to Bologana so we arrived very relaxt. Because our hotel was in the city centre, it was difficult to get there by car. Cars weren't allowed in the centre and we don't speak italian, so that wasn't easy. But when we finally got there, we parked our car and went to discover the city. The centre of Bologna seemed to be very compact so the main attractions are easy to reach by foot. We started at the two medival towers that were around the corner of our hotel. You could climb on one of the towers but it was 90 meters high and we were lazy so indeed, we didn't do that. We went to the main square instead to have an Aperol soda and enjoy the view of the Duomo.

It really strikes out how many young people are in Bologna. I know it's a city with a university but this was realle remarkable. Another remarkable thing is that lots of people in town have a bike. I'm from The Netherlands so i'm used to that but in Italy riding a bike isn't usual at all. But i liked it of course :) We visited the Duomo and enjoyed the happy hour after that. This happy hour lasted 4 hours so we had 4 happy hours:) We planned to visit the pinoteca of Bologna the next day but we just didn't have the energy to do that anymore. So we just slandered in the center. I loved all the arcades where Bologna is famous for. Another thing i loved was the market in the narrow streets. Because we would go back home the next day, we decided to buy some cheese and other nice things to eat and drink. In the evening we relaxed a little longer and after that night we really had to go home again...
