Wake up calls for everyone and we were on our way to an early morning trek, which was supposed to be 1 and 3/4 hours, which became a 3 and 1/2 hours uphill hike. Through rivers, palm trees, prickle bushes and rice paddies, filled with mud. This was followed by a scrumptious lunch, on the edge of a mountain. We had spectacular views and fantastic company.
In the afternoon, we attended to several Hotel Site Inspections, including the 5* Deluxe, Maya Ubud Resort & Spa, which was followed by the 3* Hotel Tjampuhan & Spa. In the evening we attended a hosted dinner by the Alila at 'Lamak's Restaurant' and then after dinner drinks at the 'Jazz Cafe' where we were joined by other hoteliers. This was a truly delicious menu, with some of the best Indonesian food I have ever had. Today was an exciting day, although tiring, I would do it all again. ......Including the extra time spent walking through the jungle. We met some truly wonderful people along the way, which made it somewhat special.
Overnigt stay at Alila Ubud, which I would rate as being the best hotel I think I have ever stayed in. 10 out of 10, for this property.....
